Most people believe that having high total cholesterol leads to cardiovascular risks like clogged arteries, but you need to know THE FULL STORY in order to correct the ROOT CAUSE!

WHY CHOLESTEROL IS NOT THE PROBLEM!

● Cholesterol causing plaque in the arteries IS THE EFFECT​ of other problems.

● Cholesterol was RESPONDING​ to the damage done! (from high blood pressure, inflammation,

high blood sugar, and oxidation)

● High Blood Pressure (BP) or Inflammation–>microscopic damage–>cholesterol sent as a

putty–>putty calcifies (making vessel more narrow)–>causes even higher BP–>continue the

cycle.

● Cholesterol aids and protects the arterial walls after microscopic tearing and damage is done

(usually from high blood pressure or an inflammatory issue).

● Think of cholesterol as the “putty” pasted on the artery wall to protect it. After many years of

repeating this, this putty gets hard and calcifies, causing a build up (a.k.a. plaque) in the walls

of the arteries.

● This narrowing of the space that the blood has to travel within the artery causes the heart to

have to work even harder (and usually results in even higher blood pressure and continues the

cycle).

● This entire process results in decreased flow of blood to vital areas of the body (causing

swelling and edema, organ dysfunction, and circulatory issues such as erectile dysfunction).

● When this cycle continues long term, it significantly increases cardiovascular risks (heart attack

or stroke).

As said above, cholesterol has MANY VITAL ROLES in your body. So many people that are on

statins and other cholesterol lowering medications find that:

● Their brain isn’t working well (brain fog, memory loss, etc),

● Their hormones are out of balance (Low-T, PMS like symptoms, etc),

● They are STRESSED (Adrenal stress hormones can get out of balance without enough

cholesterol).

Cholesterol is NEEDED for the following bodily functions (and MORE):

● Cholesterol is a vital component of every cell membrane​ on Earth. No life on Earth can live

without cholesterol.

● Cholesterol is a precursor to all of the steroid hormones​. You cannot make estrogen,

testosterone, cortisone​, and a host of other vital hormones without cholesterol. Many

hormone imbalances can be caused by lowering your cholesterol too much (often occurs when

taking Statins).

● Cholesterol is an anti-inflammatory

● BRAIN FUNCTION (20-25% of Cholesterol is used by the brain)

● Cholesterol on your skin interacts with the UVB rays in sunlight to convert it to Vitamin D​. The

best way to obtain your vitamin D is from safe exposure to sun on your skin. If your cholesterol

level is too low you will not be able to use the sun to generate sufficient levels of vitamin D.

● Aids the GUT to absorb Vitamins A, D, E, and K (all antioxidant and anti-aging vitamins)

● To make Adrenal Hormones (Cortisol, DHEA, & more). These are your “Stress” hormones and

are precursors to your male/female hormones.
